Mr. and Mrs. Amerigo and Mary (Sammartino) DiMatteo celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary, with a mass of thanksgiving on July 19, 2020, 12 Noon, Saint Paul Cathedral, Oakland. Amerigo and Mary were married at the Cathedral on July 8, 1950. They are the parents of Angie Bodrog (husband, George, dec.), Robert DiMatteo, Theresa Riley (husband, Michael), and Anita DiMatteo; grandchildren, Amanda DiMatteo-Eveland (husband, John) and Eric DiMatteo (wife, Teresa). Mr. DiMatteo is retired from the City of Pittsburgh (Parks & Recreation Department), and Mrs. DiMatteo is retired from Mellon Bank (Oakland Branch).
Mom and Dad, Your nephew David (wife, Pam) Sammartino reinforced what is already known-You're the perfect example of the institution of marriage. Not only have you been genuinely loving and faithful to each other, but also loving and caring to family and friends, alike. THANK YOU for being wonderful, loving Parents and Grandparents! We are grateful for all you've done for us! We LOVE you! Congratulations! God bless you, always!
