PATRICK AND CHERYL CELEBRATE 50 YEARS! The children of Patrick James and Cheryl Louise (Duffy) O'Brien proudly announce their parents' 50th wedding anniversary. Pat and Cheryl were married on September 25, 1971 at Assumption Church in Bellevue by Father Juroweitz. The bride's matron of honor was Carolyn Skorich. Her attendants were Penny Brown, the late Trudy O'Brien, Eileen Puciata and Barbara Kohonski. The late Michael O'Brien served as his brother's best man. Ushers were Larry Hinber, David Duffy, Jim Knoer and Dan Daley. The couple honeymooned in Uniontown Summit, PA. Pat and Cheryl have four children, Kelly Irene (Chris), Kerry Ann, Patrick John (Kristi), and Kathleen Duffy. They have seven wonderful grandchildren, Conor, Liam, Kennadi, Weston, Cassidy, Calvin and Khloe. Shortly after getting married and working hard to put Pat through college, the couple moved to Lancaster, PA where Pat worked as the Plant Manager/VP, Director Global Supply Chain at ITT Engineered Valves for 30 years. His work ethic, integrity, leadership ability and passion for success resulted in his ascension at ITT. Outside of work, he devoted his time to help raising their four children and serving as a volunteer coach for Hempfield midget football where he positively impacted hundreds of kids. Some hobbies he enjoys include attending mass, golfing with family & friends, reading the news/current events, making customized gifts, watching sports, and walking North Park. Cheryl gave up a career in order to stay home with her children. She also worked in the infant room for several daycare facilities in Lancaster and Pittsburgh. She has a passion and gift for all things involving caring for children. Her hobbies include reading, walking, shopping, cooking, and spending time with family & friends. Thanksgiving is one of her favorite holidays! Pat and Cheryl eventually moved back to Pittsburgh to enjoy retired life, where they currently reside. They enjoy spending time with their grandchildren and visiting friends. The whole family takes a yearly vacation to the Outer Banks, North Carolina every summer.
