Grandma & Grandpa
I have some memories to share
When Grandma and Grandpa were here
And how it brought a smile to my face
When I was visiting there
They would hand me a fifty cent piece
To save for a rainy day
And they would tell me the stories of old
Of how their pet canary had gotten away
And they would bring out the ginger bread cookies
And a glass of milk to wash it down
And they would bring out the old Victrola
And her and Grandpa would dance around
And then Grandma would sit me on the porch
And I would smile and listen to her sing
And at the end of every song she would say
Don't you ever ever worry about a thing
There was always a feeling of comfort
With Grandma and
Grandpa around
Because I tell you just being in their company
There was always peace to be found
Grandma & Grandpa;
If you're listening from up there;
I Love You
