Ghost In The Attic
My dad had gone to the Lord
Many years back in December
And it's something I'll
never forget
And something I'll always remember
I heard a noise in the attic
Loud footsteps coming
from there
I was too scared to go up and check
So I sat back down in my chair
And again they started up
I found the courage to go
up and see
I climbed the ladder to the attic
In spite of the fear in me
Popped my head up and looked around
No sound of footsteps to
be had
I don't know why but I just think it
They were the footsteps of my dad
Because I know beyond the shadow of a doubt
Those footsteps were not from a mouse
And I swear to this very day
It was my dad watching over the house
