Poem In Titles Of
"Flowers"
She was a well known fine musician
Performing at "Carnation" Hall
Just the sweetest little "Petunia"
Who really had it all
Had the biggest crush on her
And she lived on "Rose" Mont Way
They tell me her name was "Lily"
And I fell in love that day
Her hair was bright
"Orange Blossom"
And she dressed in great day fashion
Always donning her favorite color
Which just happened to be "Purple Passion"
She'd take her daily walk
On the street near "Lilac" Park
Always with her dog named "Violet"
Who had the cutest little bark
I finally decided to approach her
But my infatuation was all but over
For she told me she was dating a Boxer
Whose name was John J. "Clover"
So much for my crush on her
I just felt like a "Crocus" dying
I should have listened to Mommy & "Poppy"
When they told me it wasn't worth trying
