A Lover's Lament
Can you grant me just a minute
To sit and talk with you
And apologize for all the things
That had made you sad or blue
And yes I'll understand
If you feel no need for this
Because for both of us I know
Is gone any feeling of bliss
All I ask is just some time
To speak about our days
And ask you for forgiveness
For my young and foolish ways
But I thank you much indeed
For the times we had together
But sometimes in life we know
Some things don't last forever
