Comin To Town
Santa Claus is quite offended
About what's happening Christmas day
Because our home town football team
Are on T.V. and messing up his way
His way of being the focus
Of the day we celebrate
his name
But people will not acknowledge him
Because their minds will be on the game
But our team will lose
that game
And they're also gonna lose their spine
And might you inquire why
It's cause they're being punished by the Lord Divine
For the baby Jesus was born that day
But those idiots will glorify the game
Instead of only celebrating
His one and holy name
You see you should never be glorifying sports stars
By putting them higher
than God
For those stars are like specks of dust
That will disintegrate into piles of sod
And so I will close this poem
That I hoped I wouldn't have to write
And you can bet your bottom dollar
That game ..."will not"...
be a part of my night
