I thank you for all the years
You've been reading the poems I publish
And yes I am well aware
That some of them were absolute rubbish
But all in all I hoped they pleased you
And may have gotten you through a bad time
And in turn had you pick
up a glass
And celebrate with a
glass of wine
So may the New Year for
all concerned
Be the year that'll take us to
A world with no pain
or sorrow
And blessings that'll see
us through
