ANNA LANDOSKY
Anna Landosky Turns 100
Anna Valko Landosky was born January 22, 1914 to Joseph and Mary Valko, after they came to America from Czechoslovakia with her three year old brother, John. She was born and raised in McKees Rocks and had two brothers, John and Joseph; and one sister, Margaret, all are deceased. She married Charles Landosky on November 15, 1933 and had three children, Shirley (deceased), Charles (deceased) and Richard, whom still resides in Westwood. In 1960, her beloved husband passed away at the age of 53. She worked at GC Murphy's in McKees Rocks for many years. She enjoyed gardening and had quite the green thumb. She loved to bake, her specialty was nut bread made from scratch. It was so delicious! She also made fabulous homemade pierogies, amongst many other things. Her favorite hobby was crocheting, she always had a new beautiful baby outfit and blanket for each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was always available to her children for any help they may need. She also loved going camping with her daughter and her family. She moved to Latrobe in 1994 after a car accident and lived with her son, Charles, until she went to live at the Loyalhanna Care Center. She has 8 grandchildren, JoAnn Visconti, Marc, Chris and Brian Stouffer, Michael Landosky and Anita Tosh, Melissa Resendes and Justin Landosky. She also has 19 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was joined by all her family members to celebrate this momentous occasion at the Loyal Care Center on January 18th and had a wonderful time. We are blessed to have her in our lives.
