The Great Barrier Reef
So like "The Reef"
Was their "picturesque life"
And so "full of beauty"
And free of all strife
And so like "the waves"
With their "powerful force"
Was their love so strong
That it kept them "on course"
And so like "the sand"
That lay at the bottom
Was their "soft gentle touch"
Just like the autumn
And so like "the sea"
That forever will be
Was their "continuous flow"
So passion-ately
And so like the many
"Great Hidden Wonders"
That just made their great love
Explode like the thunders
And so now I must make it
My sure solemn duty
To compare them to "The Reef"
With all its "splendor & beauty"
