KALARIS
Gus and Stella (Bistolas) Kalaris of Brighton Heights were married at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church on February 14, 1954 and recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with their family.
Gus and Stella have two daughters, Penny Pefanis and her husband Peter of Stirling, NJ, and Christina Avlon and her husband Art of Whitehall. They enjoy and are very proud of their grandchildren, Emily Ziegler and her husband Mark of Scottsdale, AZ, James Pefanis of Stirling, NJ, Annie Larimer of Chicago, IL, and Katherine Larimer of Charlotte, NC.
Gus and Stella are lifelong residents of the North Side of Pittsburgh and own and operate their business Gus and Yiayia's in North Side's West Park. The family business began in 1934 and has been a tradition for families for 80 years and has created lasting friendships in the community.
