MARGUERITE E. and DONALD N.
PETITO
Marguerite (Samsel) and Donald Petito of Upper Saint Clair were married at Saint Dominic's Roman Catholic Church in Baltimore, Maryland, on May 30, 1964, and recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family on the Rivera Maya, in Mexico.
They met while Donald was chief engineer on a major construction project in Baltimore. Upon completion and at the grand opening celebration, he met Marguerite, who was appearing as a fashion model in the opening ceremony.
Donald's work has taken them to many areas and they have lived in six states. Upon retirement in October of 1995, they started traveling. They have visited all 50 states, the Far East, Russia, Europe, Middle East, Oceania, South and Central America.
Marguerite and Donald have four sons and one daughter. Tullio and his wife, Lisa live in Oakdale with son, Armand and daughter, Alexia. Nicholas and his wife, Laurie live in Upper Saint Clair with their four children, Nichole, Gina, Anthony, and Domenic. Son Vincent lives in Bethel Park and Hawaii. Joseph and wife, Julia with daughter, Amanda, call McDonald home. Daughter Maria and husband, Bill Conrad (who was born and raised in Bloomfield) along with children, Isabella, Margherita, and Spencer, live in Galena, Ohio.
While celebrating this 50th milestone on the Riveria Maya they will once again renew their wedding vows, having done so previously in Naples Italy, Hawaii and Istanbul.
They are very happy living in Western PA, having wonderful neighbors and being close to their children and grandchildren.
