JOAN (DANIELS) AND AL
DUDRECK
Special congratulations go out to Al and Joan (Daniels) Dudreck of Fox Chapel, who just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 17, 2013.
While they were married at the Transfiguration Church in Monongahela in 1953, the pair has been inseparable since Al, from Charleroi, and Joan, from Monongahela, met at the Jumonville Church Camp when they were just 16 and 15, respectively.
They've had a wonderful life and family together, and are the proud parents of Tom and wife Isabel of Chicago and Callawassie, S.C., and daughter Cheri Gmiter and husband Kevin of Franklin Park. They've been blessed with grandchildren Matthew Dudreck and wife Jamie; Kristen Barber and husband Morris; and Andrew Gmiter and wife Chrystal. The newest joy in their lives is great granddaughter Hannah Grace Dudreck born earlier this year.
Al is well known in Pittsburgh's business community, having been one of four partners who managed Dudreck, DePaul, Ficco & Morgan (DDF&M), one of Pittsburgh's premier advertising agencies, for more than 30 years.
Today the couple enjoys a well-deserved retirement, splitting time between Fox Chapel and Ft. Meyers, Fla. Al spends time golfing at Oakmont and in Florida, while Joan enjoys doting on her family and doing cross-stitch and playing bridge. Al quips that Joan's favorite thing to make for dinner these days is reservations!
Al and Joan are an inspiration to everyone that knows and loves them. Their long and happy marriage is a true testament to their love, humor and friendship, and to their abiding respect for one another. Happy Anniversary and many, many more!
