GEORGE PIETROPOLA, Sr.
George received a Bronze Star for his heroic efforts as a member of a radio team operating along the Roer River in Germany in February 1945. He also participated in the Battle of Normandy and landed on the beaches in the third wave of that terrible battle scene. George worked for VJ Corporation and was a plasterer by trade, and later a company supervisor, where he worked on such projects as the Gateway Center, Chatham Center and many more prominent buildings in Pittsburgh. He and his wife, Victoria, resided in Penn Hills and had 3 children. George now lives with his son and daughter-in-law in Cranberry Twp. He enjoys going to the YMCA daily and the senior center for lunch. He is an active sports fan and continues to amaze his family with his energy. Dec. 2 he will be 95 and going strong! We salute him for his service!
Your loving family, George and Patti, Dave, Olivia, David, Jr., Dominic, Gina and Julie, and your 7 great- grandkids-Brynn, Braden, Brigid, Blaise, Steven, Luke, and Carson.
