Mary and John Tvaruzek III, of Glenshaw and Laura and Michael Horowitz of Squirrel Hill announce with joy the engagement of their children, Julie Nicole and Elijah Jacob. Julie graduated from Westminster College in 2008 and earned her certificate in digital media from the University of Pittsburgh in 2012. She is a self-employed artist. Eli graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in 2008 and earned his master's degree in bioethics from the University of Pittsburgh in 2012. He is employed as a quality assurance engineer at DynaVox on the South Side.
Julie and Eli are planning a June 2015 wedding at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts in Shadyside.
