Margy and Barry Mitnick of Pittsburgh, PA, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Sarah, to Scott Matthew Eckers, son of Linda and Allen Eckers, of Swan Lake, New York.
Jenny has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Brown University and a Masters of Arts in Education from Harvard University. She is currently studying for her doctorate in Social Studies Education at Teachers College, Columbia University, in New York. Jenny was formerly a social studies teacher for nine years at Seneca Valley Middle School in Harmony, PA.
Scott has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and a Master of Science degree in Literacy Education from Binghamton University, and is studying for his doctorate in Learning and Teaching with an emphasis in Social Studies at Hofstra University, in New York. Scott is currently a social studies teacher at H. B. Thompson Middle School in Syosset, New York.
A Summer 2015 wedding is planned in New York.
