A Poem For My Father
You fought all my battles
When the bullies came around
And when I was in need
You never let me down
And you took me fishing
And you taught me to drive
And when it was over
You slapped me five
And you told me stories
Of the good ol' days
And you made me laugh
With your wonderful ways
And you cooked me dinner
Cause you were a good cook
And you never complained
About the time that it took
And you loved my mother
More than life itself
And you always put your pride
On a shelf
I love you dad
And I know you're in heaven
And I tell you I miss you
A million times seven
Your Son
