JOHN D. BONGA
93 and still going Army Strong!
As an Army Sgt. John served in the 338th Regiment of the 85th Custer Division and is a recipient of The Bronze Star Medal for combat against the enemy during WW2 in the European-African- Middle Eastern Theatre of Operations. He also fought during the battle of Monte Cassino, Italy.
John joined the Army at the age of 20. Returning home from three years of service he married Millie Tankosic (deceased) and had three children, Daniel, David and Nikki (Stoner).
"Pappap" is greatly admired by his grandchildren, Nathan Stoner, Dr. Lily Bonga, the late Amanda Bonga, Sally Stoner, Jonathan Bonga and great-granddaughter, McCarthy Poljak.
John now enjoys his time with his companion, Madge Seman.
