Mr. and Mrs. Cary Hansel of Martinsburg, West Virginia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah, to Dr. Neil Palmisiano. Sarah is a graduate of Martinsburg High School, New York University, and New York Law. Following law school, Sarah clerked for the Honorable Joel Slomsky. She is currently an attorney with Reed Smith in Philadelphia.
Dr. Palmisiano is the son of Nick and Carol Palmisiano of Mifflin, Pennsylvania and the late Jean Palmisiano. He is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, Penn State University, and Temple University School of Medicine. He did his residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He is currently an assistant professor of medicine in hematologic malignancies and bone marrow transplant at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
The couple resides in Philadelphia with their friend and dog, Shannon. Their May wedding will be at Bedford Springs Resort.
