George E. & Kathleen J. (Keating) Lindow of Bridgeville will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on January 12, 2017. The couple were wed in St. Teresa's R. C. Church, Union City, PA.
Parents of Colleen Lindow, San Jose, CA; Denise Kathleen Lindow (1961-1961); Raymond Lindow, Sr., Scott Twp.; and Jennifer Lindow (Scott) Fell, North Strabane Twp. Grandchildren: Raymond, Jr. & Samantha Lindow & Sienna & Savanna Fell.
George was Director of Government Affairs, Peoples Gas when he retired with 29 years' service in 1989. Previously, he was a reporter at Union City (PA) Times and editor of Carnegie Signal-Item. George graduated from Oliver High School (1950) and Westminster College (PA) (1954).
Kay was born and educated in Lismore, County Waterford, Ireland. She graduated with honors from Lismore College.
The couple met in London, England in April 1956 while George was on Army leave from Western Area Command, Kaiserslautern, Germany.
Kay was daughter of late Margaret & Thomas Keating, Lismore, Ireland. George was son of late Gladys & Albert Lindow, Sr. of Pittsburgh.
The couple volunteered for many years at Bridgeville Public Library and Meals-on-Wheels.
