A CHILD

They are born into this world
So precious and so new
But they sometimes succumb to an illness
And it breaks our heart in two
And we'll do anything in the world
To make it all disappear
Because sitting there watching them cry
Is simply too much to bear
And so we get down on our knees
And ask the Lord to intervene
And to make our child well again
Because too many tears we have seen
