VINCENT DEFEBO Vincent Defebo, a graduate of Baldwin High School and Kent State University, receives acclaim for his work on Blade Runner 2049 at this year's Lumiere Awards in Hollywood. Vince worked as a stereo producer on Blade Runner 2049. The movie took home three Lumiere's in the categories of, Best Live Action 3D Feature, Best Stereography, and Best 2D-3D Conversion. Vince and Stereographer, Nick Brown were at the awards and accepted the statuette for Best 2D to 3D conversion on behalf of the team. Lumiere Awards are given to creators – companies as well as individual artists – who are leading innovations in advanced technical areas of content creation, including 3D, virtual reality, augmented reality, high dynamic range (HDR), and other technologies that are expanding possibilities in visual entertainment.

STEPHANIE ELIZABETH DRZEMIECKI AND JONATHAN BARRETT KIRK TO WED It is with great joy that the parents of Stephanie Elizabeth Drzemiecki, mother Barbara Havrisko and stepfather Michael Havrisko, announce the engagement of their daughter to Jonathan Barrett Kirk, mother Amy Kirk-Espy, late father William Kirk and stepfather Robert Espy. Stephanie is a graduate of Hampton High School and earned her Masters Degree in Nursing from Duquesne University. She is employed at UPMC Passavant Cranberry as a Clinician in their Emergency Department. Jonathan is a graduate of North Hills High School and West Virginia University where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Mining Engineering. He is employed as a Field Operations Manager with a company in Morgantown, West Virginia. The couple are planning a September, 2018 wedding in Big Sky, Montana.

JAMES “AUGIE” and MARY (LONG) MANFREDO James “Augie” and Mary (Long) Manfredo are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on March 23, 2018. They have been an ongoing example of love and devotion to their three children and five grandchildren. They have shared five decades singing together and being the first couple onto any dance floor. They have enjoyed traveling the world together from Russia to Cuba and have made friends far and wide. They have served their community as a Pittsburgh firefighter and an Eat'n Park waitress. Most of all, they have focused on family and enjoyed sharing their time celebrating life with their kids and grandkids. ANNIE COLLIER AND ANDREW COCKERAM TO WED Dr. and Mrs. Paul Collier of Sewickley, Pennsylvania are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Annie Collier, to Andrew Cockeram, son of Dr. and Mrs. Brian Cockeram of North Huntingdon Township, Pennsylvania. Ms. Collier graduated Summa Cum Laude with honors in biology from Trinity College in Hartford CT and was accepted into the Phi Beta Kappa, Beta Beta Beta, and Pi Gamma Mu Honor Societies. She obtained a Doctorate of Veterinarian Medicine at Cornell University and will be practicing at VCA Met Vet West Animal Hospital in Robinson Township, PA . Mr. Cockeram graduated Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering. He is currently working on his Master of Business Administration degree at the University of Pittsburgh's Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business. He is employed by FedEx Ground in Moon Township, PA as a Financial Analyst. A January 2019 wedding is planned in Pittsburgh, PA.

Jason is the son of Vincent and Kathleen Hook Brinker of Latrobe, PA. Jason is a graduate of Saint Vincent College and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He is a funeral director at the John J. Lopatich Funeral Home, Inc. in Latrobe. A November 2018 wedding is planned.

ESTHER A. and H. CLARK MARSHALL Clark and Esther Marshall celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary May 24th, 2018. Clark and Esther met at Indiana State Teachers College, in Indiana, PA. They were married in Midway, PA, in 1958. Following their marriage, they entered a lifetime of service. They first served when Clark was in the Army, and then together as teachers in the United States and overseas in Europe. Over the course of the next six decades, they had two boys, traveled extensively, taught school tirelessly, made great and long-lasting friendships, served people unselfishly, and loved God and their extensive family deeply. Formerly of Cranberry Twp., they currently live in Enid, OK. Their son, John Marshall, and wife, Gracia, live in San Antonio, TX. Their son, Dave Marshall, and wife, Bel, live in Enid, OK. Their seven grandchildren and five surviving great-grandchildren are spread out across the United States.

EILEEN and HERMAN VOTH Herman and Eileen Voth of Scottsdale, Arizona celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Pittsburgh on June 15, 2018 at the Mansions on Fifth with family and close friends. They were married on June 15, 1968 at the Saint Rosalia Church in Greenfield. Eileen has been putting up with Herman's antics and travel for 50 years and they are still going strong. Their journey started way back on June 15, 1968, when a young Eileen and Herman said, “I do.” They didn't know what life had in store for them, but it's been an amazing 50 years full of work, fun and travel, which Eileen says Herman will never stop doing as long as he stays healthy. They are blessed to have good health, a fantastic family and wonderful friends.

CATHY (POWERS) & GENE BLANDO Cathy & Gene celebrate 50 years of marriage on 7/1. They met at Dormont HS, wed at St. Pius X & moved to San Diego, where Gene was in the Navy. Returning to Pgh to raise their daughters, Tracey & Carrie, Gene was a welder for US Steel & started Blando Masonry, laying "brick & block til 4 o'clock" until retiring in 2012. He can be found taking walks, playing bocce, attending Veterans events & cheering on his grandchildren. Cathy was a full-time mom, teacher's aid, took many classes & was a bookkeeper for the family business. She volunteers as Treasurer of Dormont Historical Society & enjoys family history. Their greatest joy comes from their grandchildren: Alex, Louie, Julia & Jane. A blessing to many, there must be a reason that 3 girls are named after Cathy & 1 after Gene. WE LOVE YOU!

ELMER T. and DR. SANDRA LEE WESOLOWSKI Elmer T. and Dr. Sandra Lee Wesolowski celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on June 23, 2018 beginning with a Mass at St. Victor Roman Catholic Church, Bairdford PA. A special blessing was officiated by Father Charles Speicher and was attended and witnessed by Denise Fite (Maid of Honor), Susan Lewis and Sharon Wesolowski (Bridesmaids). Following the ceremony, their son, Dr. Jeffrey Wesolowski, held a butterfly release signifying their union followed by a dinner for family and friends at the Andora Restaurant in Fox Chapel, PA. Later during the fall, the couple accompanied by their son will take a river boat cruise on the Columbia River in Oregon. Elmer is originally from Polish Hill and Dr. Sandra Lee is from Sharpshill, Shaler Township, PA. Following their marriage at St. Mary's Church in Sharpsburg, PA they resided in Green Tree, PA and then moved to the Links at Deer Run in West Deer, PA. The couple are both retired, Elmer from Amick Associates, a small manufacturing company and Sandra from the Pittsburgh Public Schools, as Director of Health Services. They are now entering a new phase in their caring and sharing lives. Always living in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA they are embarking on an adventure as they move to the Tacoma WA. area in the great northwest.
