MURPHEY GEORG MARRIAGE ANNOUNCEMENT
Matthew Murphey and Paul Georg were married December 29, 2021, at the TWA Hotel located at John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens, N.Y.
Matthew is the son of Betty Ann Murphey of Somerset, PA, and Edward and Kathy Murphey of Pittsburgh, PA. He graduated from North Star High School in 1989 and continued his education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Point Park University. He has spent the past 26 years working globally on bridge construction projects in the U.S., Portugal, Scotland and Canada.
Paul is the son of Paul and Mary Georg of Stoystown, PA. He graduated from North Star High School in 1983. He began his working career in the United Kingdom, spending nearly 20 years in the travel industry and continuing another 12 years in commercial real estate development before retiring in 2017.
Paul's cousin Laura Beachy of New York City performed the double-ring ceremony. She is the daughter of Wilbert and Linda Beachy of Somerset.
The grooms celebrated at the Russian Tea Room in Manhattan, NY.
The newlyweds divide their time between their homes in Pittsburgh, PA, and Dearborn, MI.
