A Stone Memory
It pleases me to visit you here
Where all of the flowers surround your stone
And it pleases me to know you're
in peace
And devoid of all the pain that
you'd known
But I tell you right here as I stand
How I am missing you oh so bad
And how the passing of you
that day
Had left me so lonesome and sad
Yes I was torn and lost and broken
Because I knew I'd never
see you again
And I was down on my knees
and begging
To Thee Almighty God to help
me to mend
Now I didn't come here to
upset you
Or to burden you or make you
feel blue
But without you right here in my life
I just don't know what to do
Well I guess I'd better be going
Before I start bawling here
like a baby
But I'll return here tomorrow
same time
With the hopes that your memory will save me
