Thank you for the years
You've given me
And for all of the joy
So unself-ishly
And thank you for the times
Of vacations spent
And your wonderful presence
In any place we went
And thank you for the help
On so many things
Like the perils in life
Where you gave me wings
And thank you I say
Most respect-fully
For always being the one
Who was there for me
May your new life chosen
Be as bright as a star
To coincide with
the wonderful
Person you are
