Jim and Nancy (Thompson) Warters of Scott Township will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary September 3, 2015. The Warters were married on Saturday, September 3, 1955, surrounded by friends and family. Lifelong Pittsburgh residents, each grew up in East Liberty and graduated from both Peabody High School and Carnegie Institute for Technology. After they wed, the couple moved to Dormont where they would spend more than 40 years and raise their family. Jim is a US Army veteran and retired industrial engineer with US Steel. Nancy is a retired legal secretary. They are the proud parents of James Warters of Squirrel Hill, William Warters and wife, Loraleigh Keashly, of Harper Woods, MI and Thomas Warters and wife, Kelly, of Milford, CT. They have three beloved grandchildren, Spencer, Benjamin and Jackson.
