Dr. Jon and Diane Brillman of Point Breeze and Drs. Ricardo and Blima Mitre of Fox Chapel are pleased to announce the engagement of their children, Julie Rebecca Brillman and Richard James Jim Mitre.
Julie graduated from Shady Side Academy (2002), George Washington University (2006) and the University of Miami School of Law (2010). She is an attorney with Ballard Spahr, LLP in Washington, DC.
Jim graduated from Shady Side Academy (1996), the University of Michigan (2000) and the University of Virginia School of Law (2006). He is a director in the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
Julie's grandparents are the late Leah and Sam Brourman and Grace and Harry Brillman. Jim's grandparents are the late Regina and Max Kirmayer and Carmen and Alberto Mitre.
The couple is planning for a fall 2016 wedding in Bedford, PA.
