RAE SABLOWSKY
Rae Sablowsky was born May 12, 1917, in Detroit Michigan, the youngest of five children to Philip and Celia Warshauer. The family moved to Bronx, NY, when she was a child. The deaths of both of her parents within six months when she was 18 brought her to Pittsburgh to live with her eldest sister's family. She met and married Leonard Sablowsky and raised three children, Robert, Gail, and Steven. A birthday celebration was held at Riverview Towers with cake, ice cream, and entertainment. A family dinner at the Carlton with all her children, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren was held May 20th. With twinkling eyes and a bright smile, Rae attributes her long life to good living.
